"PENHC" produces a text file formatted as
:-
Point ID..E Coord..N Coord.. H Coord..Code

"As-Built" produces a text file formatted as: -
Point ID..Design E..Design N..Design H..Observed E..Observed N..Observed H..Diff E..Diff N.. Diff H

The design coordinates must be in the instrument before the site activity begins
Both setting out and as-built activities use the pre-setting and setting out programmes resident in the instrument
Do not use the surveying programme!

In both cases, once the target is correctly located, (setting out), or correctly sighted and measured, (as-built), press the "record" button and view the DE, DN, DH screen to see the results.
If these residuals are acceptable proceed to the next point, else repeat the previous
This procedure confirms in the field that the work has been done correctly, and the file transferred to the PC provides a record that this was so.
The file also contains the date and time of the activity and the instrument number.
